Shenzhen government has decided to equip all the registered ambulances in the state with a GPS tracker which with SOS button. According to the government, the GPS tracker device is mandated for an ambulance, must to install a GPS tracker with SOS function.

Since 2016, all commercial vehicles like taxi, logistics vehicle are coming fitted with GPS trackers. However, the order came as a result of continuous deliberations within the government on a system to track ambulances in case of any mishap. Therefore, the order for installing a GPS tracker and a SOS button was issued.
